Use Default dashboards

Dashboards display predefined, user-defined custom dashboards, and templates.

Prerequisites

Read Performance Dashboards.

To configure what appears in the dashboard, see Manage dashboard catalog.

The default dashboards require Administrator, Monitor, or Performance Monitor permissions.

About this task

The full list of default dashboards is listed here. Some of these dashboards are presented depending on storage system type and configuration.
  • System

    System Efficiency tab is not applicable for non-flash storage systems running HYPERMAX OS 5977.

    The System Performance Thresholds dashboard gives a visual overview to indicate whether system component utilization thresholds have been broken for hardware components. Individual bar charts can be double-clicked to view more information (including threshold information) (see Utilization Threshold charts).

To save a default dashboard to a PDF or Microsoft PowerPoint file (depending on the configured report output), complete the following steps:

Steps

  1. Select a storage system.
  2. Select Performance > Dashboards.
  3. Expand the Default section.
  4. Select a dashboard.
  5. To run the report, click and select one of the following options:
    • Run report_type Report now
    • Run report_type Report now - with data
    • Run report_type Systems Overview Report

    The report file format, report_type, can be PDF or Microsoft PowerPoint, depending on the configured report output.

    The report is downloaded in the browser.
  6. Alternatively, to schedule a report, click .

    Scheduled reports are listed in the Performance > Reports page.

    When a scheduled report is completed, it is saved to the default location: install_dir\SMAS\report\SPA\querydata.
